Dropbox’s next steps

Dropbox, a widely successful cloud file storage service, recently discussed potential next steps for the company and its 45 million users.

Consumers use this service to store photos, documents and other material so they can access it from their PCs, Macs, phones, or other devices.

Small businesses have also found Dropbox extremely useful – and cost effective. Companies can now get away with having a hosted email service and using Dropbox as a file server, eliminating extra equipment costs and IT hours.

In response to the companies next steps, there wasn’t a direct response. However, the founder and CEO Drew Houston commented that there is no good way to click a button and have everything sent to the cloud. It is our guess that Dropbox is looking to accomplish this by offering a one-click cloud back-up service.

We will see as the company grows and new information is released.
