Face-unlock feature in Ice Cream Sandwich fooled

There is a video circulating the web of a user demonstrating the weak security that the new face-unlock feature possesses in the new Android update Ice Cream Sandwich.

The user shows that once the phone is trained on the users face, a still picture is capable of unlocking the phone by simply holding the photo up to the camera.

Users reacted both ways to this report. Some users said that this is clearly a security flaw that will make this type of authentication useless. Others countered by saying that it works well considering if you lose your phone it is not likely that the one who recovers it will have a photo of you – or even know who you are for that matter.
