What do you have with you right now that can create power?

If you are guessing the different accessories you have in your pockets – think again. It’s urine – and a research facility in Britain has become the first to use straight urine to create power. Who would have thought that urine could be used as a fuel source?

The BBC reported how this works:

“The bacteria anaerobically (without oxygen) respire just like any other living organism, and this process gives off electrons.

Those electrons are then passed through an electrode and a measure of electricity is generated.”

They cite that the potential of this study could allow for urine to eventually produce usable levels of power that could realistically power small villages or towns.
